Aicila Lewis, Executive Director

alewis@boulderpride.org

Tel: (303) 499-5777 x1

As a recent transplant to the Boulder area from Washington state, Aicila is still adjusting to the sunlight. A long time activist, she joined her first board in 2001 and immediately became co-chair of their annual health fair. She went on to serve on other boards, including the Legal Marriage Alliance of Washington and the Foundation for Sex Positive Culture. This led to opportunities for public speaking at local and regional conferences to disseminate basic information about the queer community and .on the the importance of equality. As first the Program Director, and later the Executive Director, of the Rainbow Center in Tacoma, Washington, she really learned what it means to work in a grassroots movement. She is excited to bring the benefit of these experiences to Boulder Pride and looks forward to learning about Boulder from your experience.
